Follow the Julio Foolio Shooting Case — FL v. Alicia Andrews

The murder trial of the woman accused of helping plan the murder of rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones is now in progress in Tampa, Florida.

According to prosecutors that Andrews acted as a lookout while Charles Jones celebrated his birthday. They claim she communicated with others who later trapped the rapper in a Holiday Inn parking area.

Three gunmen allegedly shot at Foolio’s vehicle, fatally shooting the rapper and injuring three others.

She faces charges of premeditated murder and planning a murder.

Detectives have presented forensic phone records that they say show her role in the planning. This includes location tracking data and social media posts recovered from her phone.

Andrews’ lawyer argues that she was unaware of the shooting. They claim she was in Tampa for personal reasons.
